| Sanimax Website Launched
Montréal, October 16, 2006 – Today, Sanimax took its website live, putting a public face on the company formed from the merger of Sanimal, Anamax and bi-pro marketing in January 2005.
"We've successfully melded three major companies," says Michael Langenhorst, President and CEO of the Montréal-based company. "Now we're ready to build on our collective expertise to become an innovative leader in the rendering industry and beyond."
Sanimax has more than 1,000 employees in state-of-the-art facilities across Canada and the United States. Its rendering and restaurant services divisions serve customers in North America, while the hides and skins, energy and marketing divisions sell products worldwide.
"Our vision is to be a truly borderless organization, both internally and in terms of who we serve," explains Langenhorst.
A new biodiesel plant in Wisconsin, which will convert tallows, greases and vegetable oils into clean-burning fuel, is scheduled to open later this year, providing evidence of the company's focus on innovation and new opportunities.
Above all, Langenhorst stresses Sanimax's strong commitment to values like honesty, accountability, and concern for its customers, employees, and neighboring communities.
"We may be a thoroughly modern, multinational company, but we haven't forgotten what drove us as small family businesses," he explains. "That's what unites us and what will keep driving us forward.
