Martin Couture,
President & Chief Executive Officer
An innovative and forward-thinking CEO, Martin combines strong leadership skills with extensive operations experience: most recently as leader of our Rendering and Restaurant Services units, and prior to that as president of Sanimal Inc. Martin is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and has been an active participant in the National Renderers Association. Martin received both the Caldwell Partners’ Top 40 under 40 award and the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2008. He obtained a BA in economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

Tony Galasso,
Chief Operating Officer
For more than two decades, Tony has held leadership positions in major North American businesses: Cascades, Transcontinental, and most recently Quebecor World, where he oversaw 6,000 employees and revenues of $1.1 billion. He brings an entrepreneurial focus and experience with world-class operational models including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. In addition to speaking three languages, Tony holds a degree in International Management and serves as a director for several community and family-based charities.
 
Mario Couture,
Vice President, Strategy and Operational Support
Mario is a veteran of the rendering industry, joining Sanimax’s predecessor Alex Couture Inc. in 1981. During his career he has served as financial controller, general manager, and vice president of procurement, among other roles. As VP of Strategy and Operational Support, he brings financial expertise, a history of facilitating innovation, and experience liaising with government on industry issues. Mario has a degree in business administration with a specialty in accounting from Quebec’s Laval University.

Tim Guzek,
Vice President, Procurement, Strategic Accounts
A team leader with more than 25 years of experience in the rendering business, Tim believes in valuing relationships and providing excellent customer service. Since joining Anamax, one of our predecessor companies, in 1996, he has contributed to our success in a number of senior positions. Tim currently serves on the Board of the Wisconsin Agribusiness Council, sits on two committees of the National Renderers Association, and is active in several charities. He holds a degree in business management.

Terry Finn,
Vice President, Procurement, Canada
Terry’s successful sales career began at H.J. Heinz, where he moved up the ranks from sales representative to national sales manager in just ten years. More recently, he served as vice-president of marketing and sales for Vidéotron, a leading Quebec telecommunications company. Terry focuses on building solid teams and developing strong, long-lasting relationships with his customers. He has a degree in business administration from Montreal’s Haute Etudes Commerciales.

Dean Stewart,
Vice President, Procurement, United States
For more than 20 years, Dean has excelled in sales and marketing. Within the building supply sector, he honed his expertise in product and brand management and strategic planning. He joined Sanimax in 2007, bringing a commitment to innovation and a strong track record as an executive manager. Dean holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. In his spare time, he coaches football, baseball and basketball, and supports his family in their sports activities.

Charles Leduc,
Vice President, Operations, Canada
A specialist in supply chain management, Charles spent the past 12 years managing logistics for Pfleiderer AG, a world leader in the wood processing industry. His expertise lies in restructuring and integrating operations, as well as reducing costs. Charles brings best practices, cutting-edge ideas, and an eye for strategic opportunities to his role at Sanimax. He has a bachelor of business administration from Montreal’s Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales.

DennisMcCarthy Dennis McCarthy,
Vice President, Operations, United States
Over 30 years experience in the automotive industry in leadership positions provides Dennis with a wealth of knowledge in strategic planning, progressive thinking, plant start-ups, Lean/Six Sigma, and Toyota Production System (TPS).  Further, this background and training allows him to create dramatic improvements in cost savings, production, quality, and operating efficiency.  His international experience includes working in Australia, Canada, South America and Europe. He has a BS in business administration. Dennis joined Sanimax in 2008.
